Question 339: To ask the Minister for Health and Children if her attention has been drawn to the fact that there are approximately 900 to 1,000 children on the waiting list of a clinic (details supplied) in Dublin 6 and that at the rate of three to four being assessed on a monthly basis, as well as the arrival of additional children, it is virtually impossible to get a child fully assessed in order to establish the level of special needs educational assistance at primary school level; the steps she proposes to take to make the extra resources needed to the clinic to enable them to meet the requirements of many parents and children; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The Deputy's question relates to the management and delivery of health and personal social services, which are the responsibility of the Health Service Executive under the Health Act 2004. Accordingly, my Department has requested the Parliamentary Affairs Division of the Executive to arrange to have this matter investigated and to have a reply issued directly to the Deputy.
