Question 15: To ask the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources if his attention has been drawn to other locations that might be suitable for pumped storage power plants similar to the one in Turlough Hill, County Wicklow; and if an analysis has been carried out on the potential cost and benefit of such a facility. Decisions in relation to the location and construction of electricity infrastructure are day-to-day operational matters for ESB and Eirgrid, subject to planning requirements and not a matter in which I have a function.
