Question 307: To ask the Minister for Education and Science further to Parliamentary Question No. 528 of 10 October 2006, the location for which approval for the establishment of a further two stand-alone facilities providing ABA on a pilot basis has been granted; if her officials have requested that the names and psychological assessments of the children proposing to attend a proposed ABA unit for Clare be forwarded to her Department; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The location of the two centres in question are Carlow and Waterford.
I can confirm that my Department has requested the names and psychological assessments of the children being proposed for an ABA unit in Clare. A meeting between my officials and representatives from Clare Autism Action is scheduled for next week.
