My Department have requested further information from Co. Monaghan Vocational Education Committee in relation to the governance and financial arrangements at the centre. On receipt of this information, the application for recognition will be given further consideration.

Late last year, a request was received from County Monaghan VEC for approval to incur expenditure on the acquisition of a site from Coillte Teo for the purpose of developing the centre referred to. On the basis of the information supplied, approval was not given.
