An assessment of the school's application for capital funding for a new school has been completed and a decision taken to provide a new 16 classroom school to meet the school's long term accommodation needs.

My Department has been actively pursuing a suitable site to facilitate the construction of a permanent building for the school referred to by the Deputy. Currently site options are under consideration by my Department with the intention of identifying the most suitable site to facilitate the development of a new school building. The site assessment process is not yet complete. When finalised, my officials will be in further contact with the school authorities in relation to the application for capital funding.
