In June 2002, Cork County Council submitted the contract documents for the refurbishment of the swimming pool in Dunmanway to my Department, under the terms of the Local Authority Swimming Pool Programme. Before the contract documents can be approved, the County Council has to address management and operational aspects of the pool, post refurbishment. As soon as the County Council submits to the Department its proposals in this respect, the project will be considered further.
