I am informed by the Garda authorities that there is no evidence at this stage to suggest any paramilitary involvement associated with the alleged drugs trafficking in question.
The Garda investigation into the incident is ongoing, and it would not be appropriate for me to make further comment on the matter, including in relation to the personal histories of those allegedly involved.
