Accordingly, my Department has requested the Parliamentary Affairs Division of the Executive to arrange to have this matter investigated and to have a reply issued directly to the Deputy.

Question 334: To ask the Minister for Health and Children if, in view of the recommendations of the mid-term review of the national drugs strategy and its proposal to expand the provision of needle exchange and related harm reduction services in order to ensure wider geographic availability and availability at evenings and weekends, concentrating at first on areas of highest need, she will make a statement on the progress which has been made on meeting this recommendation.
