Question 181: To ask the Minister for Health and Children further to her response to Parliamentary Question No. 80 of 1 June 2006, if she is still confident that the Health Service Executive will be in a financial break-even situation by year end following reporting on expenditure at the end of the second quarter of 2006; the concerns which she has about projected overruns in the budgets of the acute hospitals; and if she will make a statement on the matter. In reporting on expenditure to the end of August, the Health Service Executive (HSE) has continued to indicate some concerns regarding emerging trends in major acute hospitals and Demand Led Schemes.
