The Road Traffic (Licensing of Drivers) Regulations, 1999 provide that driving licence category A licenses a person to drive all motorcycles while category A1 limits a person to motorcycles with an engine capacity not exceeding 125 cubic centimetres and with a power rating not exceeding 11 kilowatts. I am not aware of any confusion arising from the categorization of motorcycles for drivinglicences.
