Question 932: To ask the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the average age of workers killed in workplace accidents in 2005 and each of the previous five years and if he will provide this data in relation to the construction sector specifically. [28271/06]

Statistics on workplace accidents are collected and published by the Health and Safety Authority.
The following table shows the number of workplace fatalities over the past 6 years both across all sectors and in the construction sector. However, statistics in regard to the age of people involved in workplace accidents were not recorded prior to 2003 and are therefore not available.
