Question 764: To ask the Minister for Health and Children the reason a co-ordinator post for the arts programme provided by Women's Aid was reduced by the Health Service Executive from a full-time post to a two day a week in 2003; her plans to review the situation with a view to increasing it to a four day a week post, in view of the difficulties currently experienced by Women's Aid in maintaining this very important programme; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The Deputy's question relates to the management and delivery of health and personal social services, which are the responsibility of the Health Service Executive under the Health Act 2004. Accordingly, my Department has requested the Parliamentary Affairs Division of the Executive to arrange to have this matter investigated and to have a reply issued directly to the Deputy.
