Question 531: To ask the Minister for Finance if he will authorise the opening of the Knockmaroon Gate, Phoenix Park, at 6:30 a.m. to eliminate traffic congestion in the vicinity; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [29504/06]

A comprehensive Traffic Management Study for the Phoenix Park, commissioned by my Office and undertaken by an independent firm of consultants, has been completed and the commuter traffic using the Knockmarron Gate is one of the issues covered in that Study.

The Study findings are at present under consideration.
