Question 535: To ask the Minister for Defence if he will examine the case of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 1 who cannot receive a pension from his Department despite 31 years of service; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [27044/06]

The person concerned retired on age grounds earlier this year. He has been paid the bulk of his retirement lump sum. Payment of his pension entitlement and the balance of his retirement lump sum will be made in the next few weeks.
