The information requested by the Deputy is contained in the tables attached. The Department of Education and Science has responsibility for the funding of education services for children attending schools attached to high support and special care units. It also provides capital funding as required towards the development of such facilities. Funding for the care provision in these units is matter for the Department of Health & Children and the Health Service Executive.
