I assume the Deputy is referring to misconduct which is comprehended by the terms of reference of the Morris Tribunal.

There has been one major Garda investigation whose primary focus concerned Garda misconduct arising form the events in Donegal. That investigation, which was carried out by Assistant Commissioner Carty, was wide-ranging and covered a number of issues arising from the original Garda investigation into the death of Mr. Richard Barron. Its conclusions spawned a number of further avenues of enquiry — including avenues related to Garda disciplinary matters. All of these investigations were carried out as part of normal Garda duties and the costs incurred were accounted for in the normal manner under the Garda Vote. It would not be possible to retrospectively extract the cost of each investigation without the reallocation of resources that would be impractical.
