The Commissioners of Public Works operate the Garda Accommodation programme from a prioritised list provided by the Department of Justice, Equality & Law Reform and the Garda Authorities. Financial resources are set aside based on planned works arising from this list. The Commissioners of Public Works carried out maintenance works to the doors, dashing and roof of Castlepollard Garda Station last year. Since then, the Commissioners have not received any requests from the Department of Justice, Equality & Law Reform or the Garda Authorities to carry out refurbishment or renovation works.
