Question 279: To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children when services for the elderly will be provided in a health centre (details supplied) in County Cavan; if her attention has been drawn to the fact that the other part of this health centre was open for business in early 2002 and the care for the elderly was then guaranteed for the autumn of that year; her views on such capital expenditure remaining unutilised for such a long period; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The Deputy's question relates to the management and delivery of health and personal social services, which are the responsibility of the Health Service Executive under the Health Act 2004. Accordingly, the Department has requested the Parliamentary Affairs Division of the Executive to arrange to have this matter investigated and to have a reply issued directly to the Deputy.
