Question 184: To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children if, in circumstances where a home parent who is attending third level education has their childcare allowance stopped at the end of May when college term ends, but to retain the child-care place must continue to make the required payments for the three summer months, the allowance will be paid; and if she will make a statement on the matter. I understand from enquiries made of the Deputy that the parent in question is in receipt of an allowance from the Finglas/Cabra Partnership. My Department has no responsibility in relation to the payment of such allowances.
