Question 217: To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children the amount spent in each year since 2002 in waste management in County Louth by the Health Service Executive; the amount projected to be spent in 2006; the details and expected costs and savings of the proposed new recycling programme in County Louth; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The Deputy's question relates to the management and delivery of health and personal social services, which are the responsibility of the Health Service Executive under the Health Act 2004. This includes responsibility for waste management in the health service in Louth.

Accordingly, my Department is requesting the Parliamentary Affairs Division of the Executive to arrange to have this matter investigated and to have a reply issued directly to the Deputy.
