Question 396: To ask the Minister for Education and Science if it is appropriate that the Gardaí would be called for a six year old child who threw a chair, without injuring anyone, in a school; her views on if it is appropriate that four adults pinned a six year old boy to the floor of a principal's office until the Gardaí or his parents could arrive at the primary school; and if she will make a statement on the matter. My Department has not been made aware of the incident referred to by the Deputy. Should the Deputy provide more specific details on the case referred to, my Department would be happy to examine the matter.
