Question 196: To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children the number of weight management clinics in receipt of Department and Health Service Executive funding each year since 2002; the amount of funding allocated to each; the number of patients each clinic has seen since 2002; the number of patients seen annually by the public weight management clinic in St. Colmcille's Hospital; the number of patients awaiting treatment; if necessary funding will be allocated immediately to the clinic to tackle the waiting list there; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The Deputy's question relates to the management and delivery of health and personal social services, which are the responsibility of the Health Service Executive under the Health Act 2004. Accordingly, my Department has requested the Parliamentary Affairs Division of the Executive to arrange to have this matter investigated and to have a reply issued directly to the Deputy.
