Question 220: To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children the plans and programmes of her Department and related State agencies which have been identified as requiring strategy environmental assessments under the European Communities (Environmental Assessment of Certain Plans and Programmes) Regulations 2004; and the number of such assessments which have been carried out or are in progress to date. I wish to advise the Deputy that 'health' is not one of the sectors whose plans are covered by the Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) Directive and which are listed in regulation 9(1)(a) of the transposing Irish Regulations (SI No. 435 of 2004) introduced by the Minister for the Environment Heritage and Local Government.
