Question 909: To ask the Minister for Education and Science her plans to ensure that speech therapy services are provided to school children in a school setting without the necessity for withdrawal of children for lengthy periods; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [15414/06]

As the Deputy will be aware, the provision of therapy services is a matter for the Health Service Executive — HSE — and funding is provided to the HSE for such purposes. The delivery mechanism for these services is a matter for the HSE.
