Question 245: To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children the funds her Department will provide to top up a grant under the disabled persons grant scheme for works to accommodate the provision of home care for a patient with chronic MRSA; if her Department will provide a once-off grant to meet the full costs of the project in view of the savings accruing to the State because the seriously ill patient is being cared for at home; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The Deputy's question relates to the management and delivery of health and personal social services, which are the responsibility of the Health Service Executive under the Health Act 2004. Accordingly, the Department has requested the parliamentary affairs division of the executive to issue a reply directly to the Deputy.
