Question 210: To ask the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if his attention has been drawn to the fact that his Minister of State told the Fathers for Justice group that it would receive essential funding in January 2006; if his attention has been drawn to the fact that cross-party Deputies constantly send constituents to this group which is finding it impossible to provide the essential service without funding; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My information from the Minister of State is that he made no such commitment to this group. As indicated in my response to Parliamentary Question No. 160 of 9 March 2006, there are no moneys available in my Department out of which funding can be made available to the group.
