Question 324: To ask the Minister for Finance if assistance will be given to a local authority in finalising the transfer of a site which has been developed into a playground (details supplied) to the local authority; and if his attention has been drawn to the fact that this playground has had to be closed which is causing hardship to families who avail of the facility. The property in question appears to be vested in the Minister for Finance under the State Property Act 1954. The Commissioners of Public Works will recommend to the Minister to waive his interest in the property on receipt of the appropriate application from the local authority.
