Question 244: To ask the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government the criteria he used in assessing the contract for the Poolbeg incinerator which he signed in 2006; and the transport infrastructure he envisages to cope with the predicted extra 400 trucks per day travelling to and from the proposed facility. I refer to the reply to Question No. 257 of 1 March 2006.

It will be a matter for Dublin City Council and its PPP partner to provide assurance to the statutory planning process that waste can be delivered to the proposed plant satisfactorily having regard to considerations of local amenity and infrastructure.
