Question 541: To ask the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if a final decision has been made regarding the construction of a bridge to Spike Island; if a choice has been made between Haulbowline or Paddy's Point sites; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6534/06]

I am advised that the necessary steps in regard to proceeding with the construction of the bridge to Spike Island are being taken by the Office of Public Works. I expect to be in a position to make a further announcement in this respect in the near future.
