Question 225: To ask the Minister for Social and Family Affairs the progress which has been made by his Department in finding suitable alternative accommodation for its local office in Ballymun as the site of the present local office is likely to be acquired for development; the timeframe for such a move; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Office of Public Works, which has responsibility for the acquisition of all property for my Department, has obtained a site in Ballymun as part of the regeneration of the area for the building of a new social welfare office. I understand planning permission has been received and construction is to begin by end of 2006 with an 18 month building programme.
