Question 210: To ask the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources if, in view of the fact that Stamullen, a village of 2,500 people in the 01 area, has no Eircom broadband service, he will state the position with regard to the roll out of broadband for the local residents of this area; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The provision of telecommunications, including broadband, is a matter in the first instance for the private sector companies operating in a fully liberalised market regulated by the independent Commission for Communications Regulation, ComReg.
