Question 259: To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children the reason the Health Service Executive funding for the Laois Centre for Independent Living was withdrawn within hours of a verbal complaint by the programme manager regarding the misuse of funds by a company director; the reason the Health Service Executive has asked the same company director to investigate these allegations; the further reason the Offaly Centre for Independent Living is now investigating the Laois Centre for Independent Living; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The Deputy's question relates to the management and delivery of health and personal social services, which are the responsibility of the Health Service Executive under the Health Act 2004. Accordingly, my Department has requested the parliamentary affairs division of the executive to arrange to have a reply on this issue sent directly to the Deputy.
