Question 542: To ask the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the office of each person here who is entitled to have a Garda driver; the number of such Garda drivers; the office of each person who is entitled to have Garda security on their home; the people who avail of the security; the number of the Garda Síochána who are allocated to such duties; and if he will make a statement on the matter. For obvious security reasons, it is not the practice and it would be contrary to the public interest to reveal the extent and level of Garda protection duties in respect of officeholders.
