Question 162: To ask the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the safeguards he has put in place to prevent the trafficking of women and children into and through Ireland; his views on the ratification of the 2005 Council of Europe Convention on action against the trafficking of human beings; his plans with regard to enacting legislation to combat this trafficking as recommended by the UN Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
