Question 107: To ask the Minister for Finance the result of the discussions he or the Office of Public Works have had with Kildare County Council or other groups, bodies or agencies regarding the urgent need for the provision of an alternative site at a school (details supplied) in County Kildare; if progress of a positive nature can be reported on the most pressing need to have this school relocated as a matter of urgency with particular reference to the health and safety of pupils, teachers and parents arising from the existing school's location; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Officials from the Office of Public Works met with officials from Kildare County Council on 8 February 2006. A number of site options were reviewed and these will now be progressed. It would be inappropriate to reveal the precise details of the meeting at this point as it would likely prejudice future discussions and possible negotiations.
