Question 238: To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children if the Health Service Executive has reported on its investigation into the death from vCJD of a person (details supplied) in County Dublin and the possibility of a vCJD cluster in the Ballybrack-Shankill-Bray areas; the person who conducted the investigation; and if the report of the investigation will be published. My Department has sought a detailed report on this issue from the Health Service Executive. This report has not yet been received; when it is, it will be referred to the CJD advisory group for consideration and advice on any policy implications. At this stage in its investigations the HSE is confident that it can see no basis for the suggestion that there may be a cluster of such cases.
