Question 1269: To ask the Minister for Education and Science when a new classroom, resource room and library will be provided for a school (details supplied) in County Offaly to alleviate the overcrowding situation; if her attention has been drawn to the fact that a teacher is accommodated in a small prefab following an application for temporary accommodation which was refused by her Department; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The school referred to by the Deputy has made an application to my Department for funding under the additional accommodation scheme 2006.
All applications under that scheme are currently being assessed by staff in the school planning section. The list of successful applicants will be published shortly.
