Question 541: To ask the Minister for Finance the amount of money collected by his Department by way of superannuation payments by employees in 2003, 2004 and 2005; and where applicable, the amount paid into the social insurance fund by those employees in each of these years; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The following table shows the amounts deducted from salaries of staff in my Department and in the Department of the Taoiseach in respect of superannuation and employee contributions to pay related social insurance in the years in question. The proceeds of PRSI deductions are transferred, together with the related employer contributions, to the Revenue Commissioners on a monthly basis along with income tax deductions. The payments into the social insurance fund are made by the Revenue Commissioners.
