Question 364: To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children the current Government policy regarding indefinite duration contracts for persons working within the Health Service; and the measures which can be put in place to offer greater job security to persons who are employed under such contracts. I presume the Deputy is referring to contracts deemed to be of indefinite duration under section 9(3) of the Protection of Employees (Fixed-Term Work) Act 2003. Staff with such contracts have the same job security as permanent staff.
