Question 298: To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children the progress to date the Health Service Executive has made in discussions with Drogheda United FC and the GAA regarding the purchase of land owned by these organisations adjacent to the Lourdes Hospital Drogheda to improve hospital services in the Drogheda area. The Deputy's question relates to the management and delivery of health and personal social services, which are the responsibility of the Health Service Executive under the Health Act 2004. Accordingly, the Department has requested the parliamentary affairs division of the executive to arrange to have this matter investigated and to have a reply issued directly to the Deputy.

Question 299: To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children if her Department's attention has been drawn to the fact that medical points given to housing applicants in the four local authority areas in Dublin are dependant on a Dublin medical officer appointed by the Health Service Executive to determine; if, in view of the infrequent visits by the medical officer concerned to the four local authorities in Dublin, and the extraordinary delays in terms of determining persons' medical points, she has raised this matter with the Health Service Executive; the possibility of reforming this area; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
