Question 233: To ask the Minister for Transport if, in view of the granting of a licence to Dublin Bus to provide a new 7.50 a.m. service from Glen Easton in Leixlip, County Kildare to the city centre and Dublin Bus's application for an evening licence, funding will be sanctioned for the purchase of an additional bus to operate this route, details supplied; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The scheduling and deployment of its bus fleet is an operational matter for Dublin Bus. However, under Transport 21 and in advance of the completion of the Dublin Bus network review which is due to be completed early in 2006, I approved a request from the company for funding for 20 additional buses this year.
