Question 152: To ask the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment if a person (details supplied) in County Tipperary will be approved for permanent employment if requested by a prospective employer here; and if so, the reason difficulties arose with his office in the course of inquiries by such an employer. The work permit section of my Department informs me that it has no record of a work permit application based on the information supplied by the Deputy.
However, individuals can transfer from a holiday working visa to a work permit where there is a continuity of work and an established employment relationship exists between an employer and an employee.
