Question 217: To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children if assistance will be given to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford who has been awaiting a cranoplast operation since 1999 and cannot be dealt with under the national treatment purchase fund owing to their medical history; if she will intervene with the Health Service Executive to ensure that a bed is obtained for this person. The Deputy's question relates to the management and delivery of health and personal social services, which are the responsibility of the Health Service Executive under the Health Act 2004. Accordingly, my Department has requested the parliamentary affairs division of the executive to have a reply issued directly to the Deputy.
