Question 253: To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children if a response will be expedited from the Health Service Executive relative to the care and needs of a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny; if a report will be provided by the medical officer relative to their requirements for home improvements and proper sanitary services. The Deputy's question relates to the management and delivery of health and personal social services, which are the responsibility of the Health Service Executive under the Health Act 2004. This includes responsibility for the provision of the housing aid scheme for the elderly, on behalf of the Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government. Accordingly, the Department has requested the parliamentary affairs division of the executive to arrange to have this matter investigated and to have a reply issued directly to the Deputy.
