Question 215: To ask the Minister for Agriculture and Food if the farm retirement pension will be re-instated for a person (details supplied) in County Sligo in view of the fact that the only income he is in receipt of from the lease of land is €2,500; and if she will make a statement on the matter. For persons entering the early retirement scheme in the year ended 31 December 2002, pensions are payable for a period of up to ten years but in any event not beyond a retired farmer's 68th birthday. The person named entered the scheme on 17 December 2002 and payment of his pension ceased on 2 May 2005 when he reached age 68.
