Question 674: To ask the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government the extent to which water treatment plans funded by his Department through the local authorities have become a source of methane gas leakage; the areas of most serious leakage; his plans to address same; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I understand that methane gas is not generated in the treatment of public water supplies.
