The issue raised in the correspondence is one for Waterways Ireland, which is a North-South Implementation Body that is co-sponsored by my Department and the Department for Culture, Arts and Leisure in the North. My Department contacted Waterways Ireland on the matter to obtain a report, which was received on 11 October 2005. A reply has issued to the Deputy today.
