The Deputy's question relates to the management and delivery of health and personal social services, which are the responsibility of the Health Service Executive under the Health Act 2004. Accordingly, the Department has requested the parliamentary affairs division of the executive to arrange to have this matter investigated and to have a reply issued directly to the Deputy.

Question 201: To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children if her attention has been drawn to the fact that a HSE run clinical support centre is unable to continue supplying clinical support services to a child on the autistic spectrum due to the fact that he has finished his primary school education and is attempting to begin his secondary school education; if she will instruct the HSE to lift the employment ceiling and provide additional funding so that this child and others like him can continue to benefit from these services during their secondary school educations; the official policy of her Department regarding the provision of such services to those on the autistic spectrum during primary and secondary schooling; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
