Details of approved water services schemes in County Kerry are set out in the Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government's water services investment programme 2004 to 2006, which is available in the Oireachtas Library. The programme sets out a timetable under which funding is available from the Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government to facilitate the commencement of specific schemes during 2004 to 2006. Funding is also available to allow schemes included in the programme under the rural towns and villages and serviced land initiatives to proceed to construction once the contract procurement process has been completed. In addition, the programme identifies schemes that have been approved to advance through planning and to which construction start dates will be assigned in future phases of the programme. The most up-to-date information on progress with individual schemes may appropriately be sought from Kerry County Council.
