In this case, an application for resource teaching hours was made to the relevant special educational needs organiser, SENO, of the National Council for Special Education, NCSE. The application in question did not meet the criteria for resource teaching hours and this decision was conveyed to the pupil's parents by the SENO. However, I understand that the SENO has recently received an additional report which is currently being examined. The outcome of this examination will be communicated to the parents in the near future by the SENO.
